Gamma-Ray Astronomy

The wavelengths corresponding to gamma-ray energies are less than 0.000000001 cm! Clearly, in this region of the electromagnetic spectrum, radiation behaves more like a particle than a wave.

Imagine the Universe is a service of the High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Research Center (HEASARC), Dr. Francis Marshall (Acting Director), within the Astrophysics Science Division (ASD) at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.
