Supernova Remnants - Cool Fact

Supernova Remnants

Supernovae are responsible for creating many of the elements you come into contact with in your everyday life. For instance, gold, titanium, mercury, and iodine were all created in supernova explosions and lived part of their lives as supernova remnants before they settled and condensed into the planet Earth. Imagine how life might be different without airplanes (made with titanium alloys), mirrors (silver), or light bulbs (tungsten).
