Description

AUDIO:
The X-ray Timing Explorer, or XTE, will be put into a low Earth orbit by a Delta launch vehicle. After separation from the Delta second stage, both three panel XTE solar arrays will be deployed. The deployment will be continuously monitored by ground control. The high gain communication antennas will then be deployed one at a time. The minus x side antenna is deployed first, followed by the plus x side
