Spectral Analysis

Resolving power, or the ability to separate one energy from another, is a critical factor in X-ray spectroscopy. In the early years (the 1970s) resolving powers of 10 were put into space; now, detector systems with resolving powers of 1000 or more are being developed for space flight.
