Ten Year Anniversary!
Our Series of CD-ROMs
Shortly after starting our site, Dr. Laura Whitlock decided to publish a CD-ROM containing a capture of the Imagine site along with the StarChild site. In 1996, access to the Web was limited or slow for many schools. The CD format allowed teachers and students more regular access to our sites. We have continued to publish an annual CD-ROM, and since 1999 have included the previous year's Astronomy Picture of the Day. As space has allowed, we've also included "guest sites." Our users tell us that the CD-ROM format is still useful to them.
