Astro-H Technology

Astro-H will carry four instruments which, together, will allow it to observe X-rays with energies from 0.1 to 600 keV (which translates to wavelengths of 0.2 to 124 Ångstroms).

All of the instruments will share a common field-of-view, meaning that all instruments will observe the same object at the same time allowing for simultaneous coverage from 0.1 to 600 keV.

Use the links above to learn a little more about each of the Astro-H instruments, or visit the main Technology page to learn how astronomers capture and detect X-rays.
