Science in the Media
In order for the public to hear about a scientific discovery, it must be communicated from the scientist to a reporter. This workshop invites participants to take on the role of journalist to engage in scientific results from the Suzaku satellite. Participants examine how the media presents a scientific breakthrough for different audiences and try their hand at brainstorming questions to ask a scientist about a new discovery.
Suzaku DVD Educator Workshop
How does a satellite get built? What is it like collaborating with people in another country? Using clips from the Suzaku educational DVD this workshop answers these questions and provides and introduction to the lesson plans accompanying the DVD
