Cosmology Resources
- Cambridge University. 'Cambridge Cosmology.'
- The Cambridge Cosmology website provides in-depth analyses of cosmological concepts. These include: the hot big bang, galaxies, cosmic strings, relic radiation, and the inflationary universe. Each topic is explained in detail and illustrated with images and diagrams.
- Cosmic Journey
- A history of scientific cosmology by the American Institute of Physics.
- Cosmology: The Study of the Universe
- Cosmology: The Study of the Universe provides a comprehensive overview of cosmology, which involves researching the beginning, evolution, and ultimate end of the Universe. The website explains the Big Bang theory, discusses observations that support the Big Bang theory, addresses the limits of the Big Bang theory, and examines how the universe behaves.
- Inside Einstein's Universe
- Joining the worldwide celebration of the centennial of Einstein's "miracle year," the NASA-Smithsonian UniverseForum created this portfolio of highly visual, dramatic interactive learning resources especially for use by museums, science centers, planetariums and other science education organizations. Our resources explore three BIG questions "Inside Einstein's Universe": Did the universe have a beginning? What happens at the edge of a black hole? Will space expand forever?
- Journey to the Edge of Space and Time: Featured Cosmology Visualizations
- The Universe Forum and their NASA partners created this annotated collection of visual resources that explore the key questions "Inside Einstein's Universe."
- Stephen Hawking's Universe
- 'Where do we come from? How did the universe begin? Why is the universe the way it is? How will it end?
- Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP)
- The WMAP mission reveals conditions as they existed in the early universe by measuring the properties of the cosmic microwave background radiation over the full sky.
